It was such nice day, if I would have stayed home, I would be forced to do yard work. Instead, I drove to a town a hour away and visited eight different flea markets. The following are some trinkets I will add to the curio cabinet and forget :)

That sounds interesting. Let us know how well that really works.

so far a bit disappointed with it. I have a small apartment with a combo living room and kitchen. I put it on a bar in between thinking I could get rid of the dot in the living room, a show on the bar in between and a fire tablet 10 with show mode stand in the kitchen. So far it is hard of hearing and it likes to keep its back to me when the tv is on. In addition, when I give a command to the amazon smart oven, instead of setting it to microwave or cook for so many minutes, it sets a timer. Most of the time, it will get it right the second try. It is only about six foot from the smart oven, and I am in between when using it. I like the big screen for the ring doorbell. and when it is not watching or listening to the tv, it does rotates with me like it should. Made a couple of non-video phone calls and there was no problems.

I’m sorry to hear that it sounds like it kinda works for the purpose but not as well as you expected. I hope that it will continue to work for the phone calls and doorbell.

Managed to snag one of the older Surface Go alcantara type covers in burgundy. Amazon had it for very cheap ($60), so I took advantage even though my black one still works fine. It should spruce up my Go 2 a little bit.

Why am I drawn to new power strips? Dunno, but this one has LOTS of outlets and two USB ports. Should reduce the mess on my desk/workbench in the basement. Sorry, no pics of that.

Had to replace my pressure regulator. The old one was old when I installed it 15+ years ago, and it finally started leaking last month. :) Something I found strange - I had my filter/dryer installed after the regulator before, to make sure it got regulated pressure and therefore reduce the chances of the housing shattering. The guy at the store said to install it 25' from the compressor to give the air tone to cool off so water will condense out of it. That makes sense. The instructions for this regulator say to install it before the regulator to prevent corrosion inside the regulator.

The closer you mount the regulator to the tank will give you the most accurate pressure readings. The further downstream you mount it will result in lower pressure readings as the temperature difference affects the gauge. Remember your high school physics (Amonton's Law) that stated pressure is directly proportional to temperature when volume is constant. That's also why they tell you to measure the air pressure in your tires when they're cold. Drive a few miles and your reading will be higher without adding a drop of air.

For most applications this would be a moot point but if you're using sensitive paint sprayers an incorrect setting is the difference between a beautiful paint job and unwanted, forced hair loss.

I think my wording may have been a bit unclear. I was referring to the location of the filter/dryer. I've always had it downstream of the regulator, because I don't want it getting full tank pressure, and probably I asked a friend with more experience when I set it up. This new regulator says to put the filter/dryer upstream from the regulator to remove moisture before the air gets to the regulator. I've never seen them set up that way (then again, I haven't seen that many). I wonder how it is routed on the "all in one" regulator and filter assemblies?

PlayStation 5!!!! *not pictured*

I seriously managed to snag a PS5 from Best Buy. I then immediately sold it to a friend for the exact price I paid for it. I'm not sure who was more excited; her or her kids!

...okay so maybe I rounded up and made a .01 cent profit from it.

After much foot dragging, I got myself another external hard drive. A 2TB WD, nothing like redundant backup!!

Wasn't planning to get one, but I was at the mall, more for window shopping for replacements for.... . (a) my dead fitbit & (b) battery for my laptop.

Side story, the number of IT shops in this mall has dwindled to less than a third of what it used to be.
Covid changed our priorities.

My Stryde bike just arrived yesterday and haven't set it up - but I'll take care of that after work today. Was looking at a Peloton, but they have the ability to lock the monitor into only their service and remove/change functionality of the hardware as they wish (like they are removing the ability to use any heart monitor you want (now has to be theirs) = no more Apple watch functionality).
Stryde has nearly the same hardware, but the monitor is running on Android and the allow you to sideload any apps you want. Don't want to use the Stryde classes because you are bored - go ahead and download the Peloton app (which is only $12/mo instead of the $40 you pay with a their bike). Or you can load any other bike apps or classes you want such as iFit or NordicTrak. You can also load Netflix, Amazon Prime Movies, HBO, etc... Not being locked into that biking company's application only and being able to do whatever I want with my bike's screen was a huge seller! All that and a couple hundred bucks cheaper than Peloton. :)

This is something I've thought about buying for years, but finally really needed one for a project I'm finishing. I like that this is more compact than full-size routers. It sure throws wood chips like a full size router though!

Microsoft 4k Wireless Display Adapter. Got it on a mild sale at Best Buy and hooked it up to my TV. Works pretty well with my Surface Go 2. There's some noticeable, but expected, lag. Otherwise, I didn't have a problem with it. I would try it on my monitor but I have too much plugged in already.
