Precautions before installing Amber Update

hey Guys...I hve just bought Nokia Lumia 720 and was about to go for Amber Update blindly as it boosts of enhanced performance.. However, I was bogged down by few reviews here that said like "Photos tend to be more grainy and noisy with amber update in Lumia 720".

Considering camera as one of the primary reasons for me buying this phone, I would seek your advice on "WHETHER I SHOULD REALLY GO FOR AMBER UPDATE"?

and 2ndly, is there any way to manually unlock the FM chip in Lumia 720 without installing the amber update?

Yes you should update to Amber, and if possible also update to the GDR3 preview. For your second question, the answer is NO.

hey thnks.but wat about that "grainy photo" issue with amber update???is it just a rumour kinda??

and GDR3 available in India??I mean m from India

Its not a rumor, people experience it differently on different phones on different camera apps. The Nokia ProCam works for me without any issues. Keep in mind, increasing ISO or Exposure will add noise to your pics, hence the grainy pics.

I am not a high phtography fanatic.. So in most cases wl go with my basic settings..So acc to u, amber update wont hamper it right??thanks fr the info

Nope it wont, that's just my opinion though..
