Pro Shot vs. Default Camera on HP Elite x3

One of the main complaints/deficiencies with the HP Elite x3 as compared to other high end smartphones, particularly Lumias, is the weak camera software/firmware. Has anyone has tried comparing the performance of the Pro Shot app vs. the default camera app? I'm curious if there will be better results.

I have tried using pro shot before. It crashes whenever i try to tweak some of the settings. Haven't check if there was an update yet. But then the recent updates i feel has made the x3 camera not too shabby and is better than when it was first released. 😀
