Problem with Lumia 930 second microphone

Anybody? Don't want to take phone apart and replace mic if its not the right one?

Replaced that mic and it didn't fix the no sound in speaker phone and video recordings issue.

You should replace two top smd mics - they are soldered to motherboard

Thanks. Already learned the hard way . And messed up a connector on end yellow ribbon cable at 5.44 on this video, anyone know what its for. just could not reconnect it no matter how much I tried. Phone still works fine with exception of the noise cancelling/speakerphone mics.

I have exactly the same problem with my Lumia 930. Horizontally video recording - voice is fine, vertical video recording - no voice at all. WhatsApp, Cortana, call on speaker - no sound. Does anyone fixed it? Thanks for any help.

I just received my device back today after a long two month wait. The mics work perfectly.i gotiy back with a really minor scratch on the flash and the sim card tray.

I have only problem with the speaker mic when on loud speaker call and records video only with right speaker....no other issues.. Cortana just works fine for me....I don't want to give for service since I don't trust them and 2 month waiting time is long can't live without L930 .*)

Hmm ikr. I dont know what they did ... Maybe its a new motherboard coz the phone is getting hot like it did for a first few days when i bought it. It doesnt havr the stock camera app... Idk how they did it or y but they have uninstalled it.. Maybe it causes the mic problem who knows. Does everyone who got their 930s after fixing mic have the stock camera app?? Maybe there was a possibility for the problem to be caused again if the app was there ?

@deepak: So hows ur phone working after mic replacement. As I am still having warranty left for 2.5 months. Is it worth giving to service centre for mic replacement?? Are u facing any issues again?

My Nokia Lumia 930 could record video without voice (neither horizontally or vertically). When I was making a call with speaker, the other side wasn't listening my voice.
A week ago I sent to service provider for repair. I was thinking only the mic (or mics) will be replaced easily.
Today I got it back from the service provider. I was told the whole board should be replaced. It cost too much the repair.

According to the pictures the mics are soldered on the board. Why the Nokia service provider couldn't replace the mics?

Maybe it's a matter of difficulty and it maybe easier for them to replace the board rather than to replace the mic(s).

I had my L930 (RM-1045_1006) sent to warranty service in Sweden.The microphones diden't worked in speaker phone mode when using normal mobile phone, but with skype in speaker phone mode it worked okay.

I got the phone back after less than two weeks.

Replaced spare parts, according to the repair acitivities:

9410480 BACK COVER GASKET
5140461 MIC SMD OMNI HP Malcolm 4x3x1

Looks like speaker, screw, gasket and mic. Looks like they kept the board and soldered the mic.

Anyhow, it works now.

Hi, can you confirm the levels of the installed microphone are correct? Record a video in landscape mode and download it to your pc, listen to the video in headphones, are all levels balanced and ok? (mine has a working speaker but stereo volume levels are unbalanced).

My L930 came back from repair service and mics are working perfectly now! In both the landscape mode and speaker mode during a phone call.

Hope it stays this way.

I recently had to send mine away for this exact issue (none of my mics were working) and they just replaced it with a brand new 930 for free. Can't complain.
