problems after win 10 upgrade

Ok, i'm doing this on behalf of my wife who has a Lumia 640 LG something.

She allowed the win10 upgrade to happen and various things went awry, The screen would be half way down the screen and you could not access the lower half, this comes and goes.

Her contacts in her outlook and google account will not sync or look at each other resulting in her having look in either outlook or google for different contacts., Because of this texting is a pain as well.

Hope someone can help me as all i want to do is see the MOTOGP race

Has the upgrade been successfully downloaded and installed to the device, regardless of issues,
I would strongly reccomemnd a soft reset, >>volume down and power key pressed together, only release once you feel the device vibrate, if that does not resolve the screen I would hard reset the device via the device settings, >>all settings, system, about. reset your phone.
Do you know if you hold down the windows icon button on the device this changes the device to single handed use function, is this what you describe? it removes half the screen.
