Proximity Sensor, Glance, Notification Problems?

I am having a few problems and was wondering if anyone could help me out. My glance screen doesn't work (Even when I set to on), as soon as I make a phone call the phone display shuts off (acts like something is in the way of the proximity sensor but all I have is a screen protector), and my phone never lights up when receiving a text (the display) like it always did on my 640. Was wondering if anybody could help?

I am experiencing the same, but it is almost certainly due to the tempered glass screen protector I put on. The maker probably should have made a cut out for the proximity sensor. It is most annoying when making a phone call. The screen immediately goes black and I can't end the call.

I put a tempered glass on too. Thank you this essentially clears it up for me.
Edit: Anybody know a tempered glass protector that doesn't interfere?

My glance screen works differently on the 950XL than on either my 1520 or after the 1520 charging circuit failed the replacement 640 given the same insider and/or RTM Win Phone 10 builds. With the 1520 and 640 I could double tap the glance screen and the lock screen would appear, then allow me to slide it up and use the device. With the 950XL I can't do that. Yes I have the option to tap the left arrow/windows/magnifying glass icons and can turn OFF the screen. And yes glance is slected and active else I could not even ask this question. So, is there an obvious setting I have overlooked? Or is this a new "feature"?

Double tap to wake isn't added yet. Coming soon according to Daniel. Also - does anybody know of a tempered glass protector that doesn't interfere with proximity sensor?

double-tap to wake is not a feature at this time.

If I had to bet, its probably something on the to-do list that was passed for the initial launch.

I am trying the EasyPro+ from Amazon. I will get it in two days and will let you know if it works.

I'd post a link but my post count prohibits it.

The best tempered glass screen protectors are the ones with a hole around the proximity sensor. But they still have a problem which is, after using your phone several times for calls, ear wax will get stuck above the proximity sensor and will cause the same problem again. If that happens, you have to clean the area above the proximity sensor.

Ear wax? Damn, better clean those ears first lol.

Good to know, i have one coming from Amazon on Tuesday. I'll update how well it fairs.

I'm using the Supershieldz one and it's working fine with Glance and while on calls. It has a cutout for the proximity sensor and for the front facing camera.

The EasyPro+ screen protector is installed and working great for me. I really liked the stickers they provided to make the install easier.

Finally have my device protected and working normally!

Thank you for this thread! I thought I was losing my mind. I have the Dmax Armor Tempered Glass on and in spite of a hole for the front camera and a notch next to it, I have these issues.

I now see that the proximity sensor is covered. Bugger. Appears that it required a cut pretty much from the front camera to the left side of the earpiece (which is the microphone). Oi.

I was wondering why this was happening!! Couldn't think that tempered glass could do this. I wish the material of the protector was soft as plastic ones so that I can cut it myself but tough as glass...

Well people reported the issue with prox sensor also on other phones so seems to be the issue. I wasted 18 euros on mine:(

Just to confirm for anyone, a change in tempered glass to ensure the sensors were not covered resolved all issues. Calls work correctly (not just a black screen), glance works great, even "Hello" works at a greater distance from my eyes.
