Question about Mobile network setting.

I live in the area where there's no 3G only EDGE available.
but when i go to work where 3G is on. Do i have to restart the phone every time i switch between 2G to 3G and vice vesa??

one more question if i use wifi connection, can i turn my data connection off??

When on wifi you can turn off data connection, however I believe MMS and visual voicemail will fail until you re enable it. Other functions should continue as normal. Can't help with the reboot question I'm afraid.

I have option to change between EE's 4G and 3G though my contract is for 3G services. When I change, it seems to reset the connection so I believe we don't need to reboot the phone.

If you just set you highest data connection to 3g, the phone will do just that, up to 3g only.
With Wi-Fi on, you can toggle mobile data to off, but I'm sure when you use Wi-Fi, it takes priority for all data connections over 2g/3g except for MMS.
So, no, no need to reboot your phone.
