What do you think is superior - Objective C 2.0 with ARC or Silverlight/XNA with garbage collection. So far in every WP7 demo I've seen there has been no UI stuttering like I've seen with Android. Is it because the WP7.5 GC is optimized? Even if it is, won't it drain battery compared to using ARC?

I've always done .net development
And all I have to say is that it's efficiency is really good.

with good optimization, .net is almost as fast as native code. much faster than java

Yeah but is it better then iOS code running on iPhone?
Well what do you mean by better?

performance wise, .net on windows phone is about as fast as objective-c on iphone, or just a bit slower

from a developer point of view, .net is much easier to program in

How does Silverlight animation stack up vs Core Animation?

I've never actually done Core before, but silverlight is quite good
If you have visual studio, give it a try, Silverlight for windows phone is good enough for what it is intended for
