Hi, Does the Lumia 640XL support Quick Charge 2.0? Like if I use a 1.5A Nokia Fast Charger instead the stock Microsoft 0.75A Charger will it charge faster? It's taking almost 3 hours to full charge 0 to 100%. Is that normal?(It's a big battery I know:angel:)

The 640XL does not support Quick charge 2.
Yes if use 1.5A charger it will charge faster then if you use 750 mA charger.
Do you wait till the battery level is 0% before you charge.

Nah I wait till the battery level drops to 5% lol. It was only once just for "Battery Testing". I usually charge when it's at 30-40% zone.(I tend to play a lot on my phone nowadays:devil:)

Try charging once its below 20%, charging late means taking longer for a full charge e.g. an empty bucket takes longer to get filled up. Also remember to use the original charger and cable that came with it. I wouldnt not use a higher powered charger as it might cause damage, and fast charge is not actually the most wonderful thing in my opinion (since it may damage it)

Hmm good point. Don't mind charging for 3hours anyway. Had to charge for 3.5hours on my last Android phone and that had 2000mah battery and Mediatek6572 processor so this is a Huge Upgrade lol

Sure, just start charging when battery hits 19% it wont take that long anymore id say.

Just for your information. Using the factory chargers is always a good practice. But for example the 535 has a 550 mA in the box but the 1020 a 1.5A charger. Both batteries have about the same capacity. So basically "cheaper" devices get "cheaper=lower power" chargers.
Or in other words you can use a higher power charger if you really want faster charging.

So it won't damage the battery or anything?

The 830 does support quick charge 1.0 and the SD400 does support QC 2.0 as well. QC 2.0 was enabled with 8.1 Update 1 so the OS supports it too. Unless someone confirms about using QC 2.0 adapter to charge a 830 w/ Denim its hard to come to a conclusion. But a 830 certainly does charge faster w/ a 2A charger v/s the regular 1.5A. I always use my DV8P charger to charge all my Windows Phones and all seem to charge faster.

Ive used a brand new Nokia AC-60E 1.5A charger and it seemed to work.
However, after just a week, the charger died.

So im back on the slow charger until I can get a warranty replacement.
