Sometimes while using my 650, I'll notice the screen will flash during use once or twice per day.. And sometimes using the camera.... Previewing pics sometimes results in a blank screen. wondering if it's a software issue or not... I'm a non-insider

I own it but I'm in Redstone, nothing like that till now....

I can confirm this, but it happened to me only 2 or 3 times per last month. If I remember correctly I saw it in Photo app. TH2 .318 build

Ok... Waiting for new build... Hopefully it'll be resolved

I've noticed this too !!

Its like someone is shooting with flash behind me but it happens so fast that its difficult to exactly pin point WTH happened!! Haha.
Happened 4 times and I've understood it to be my phone. No ghosts here. 😜

Sent from my Lumia 650 via the Windows Central app ;)

I have been experiencing this too on my 650. Happens about once a week. I can't attribute it to any situation but tends to be in the evening when ambient light is much lower. And it is an intense flash from the screen a bit like an LED flash bulb. It happens so quickly it took me a few times before I realised what was going in .. a bit like when you glimpse a lightening flash in the sky, once you see it, it has already gone. But I'm fairly certain now the intense flash emanates right from the centre of the screen like someone taking a picture straight at you. Twice it has happened to me in near darkness and it gives you quite a shock.

Hardware issue ? How can a screen give such an intense burst?

I think we need to report this. I've had this quite a lot lately.

I am thinking this is related to auto brightness setting.
Ever since I have that turned off it hasn't occurred.

Really ? But you know what. This is so rare that you might have thought, it's been 'fixed' by turning off Auto Brightness. Who knows ?!!
Anyway, thanks. Will try it out.

L650 rocks in any case. Even with a "basic" Snap 212.

It might be rare Yes, but it's still exists.... And although they said it was the last lumia... That doesn't mean that the issues of this device should be put on the back burner.

And whatever this thing is that's causing the flash... It's messing with the phone's display.... I got a flash earlier since evening.... An shortly after the screen became white and pale..... I had to quickly press the power button.... This thing is getting scary 😓

Am i the only one still having flashing with Lumia 650??

Actually no you are not. My 650 had it too which was somewhat worse than my 830 (W10M), was really surprised to see this. Ended up sending back the 650 for an exchange due to another display issue, cold weather wouldn't allow screen to come on which relegated phone for "indoor use only".
