I agree with OP that people take phones and other gadgets too seriously these days. I bet many of the people that are complaining the loudest don't even own the gadget in particular that they are complaining about. It really is silly when you see adults engaging in this type of behaviour.

I think it's more of a symptom of the internet though - just whine and complain anytime something doesn't go your way.
