Arrrgghhh.
Bad timing. I rebooted my SP3 then it was stuck at the SURFACE logo. No racetrack dots, nothing. I could button combo press to get into the firmware (wow, never been in it before and it really has limited options compared to other computers I've worked on in the past), but just couldn't get it to boot up.
Fortunately I had done a data backup a couple of days before and still had my recovery USB. The recovery USB would only work if I repartitioned the hard drive. Even a command prompt to try out the diskpart util didn't help. Repartitioning the drive and recovery did work (using my SP3 right now).
I hadn't been to any questionable web site, hadn't installed any questionable software, nothing. Now I'm wondering if I should take it back to the MS store and have them check it out (after my finals this week).
Anyone else run into this?
