Redstone on the 1020

By the way did any of you guys faced problems installing xaps after hard reset(of course after installing build)?

Hi everyone,
I've started trying to update my Lumia 1020 to Redstone BUT I can only proceed in the first steps of the suggested method. I cannot get to deploy the XAP files in my phone, even if the phone is dev unlocked.
Maybe I'm missing the "zero" step: does my 1020 have to have the developer preview of Windows 10 mobile installed? Now I have Windows Phone 8.1.

pardon me. I didn't get that. If you mean to developer unlock, then its of no use as my device is developer unlocked. But still thanks.

technically Windows Phone Developer Registration Tool registers phone not unlocks...
for last resort i would suggest trying other pc

I am trying to unlock my phone and root it using WP internals tool but i can't seem to find Flash Loader or rather i don't know where to find flash loader for my L1020. I would appreciate if you could help me with that. Thanks

You need 3 Files:
1) The original ROM
2) Emergency Flash Loaders
3) Engineering SBL3

ad 1) The original ROM is already on your hard drive if you used WDRT in the past to reset your phone

No. If you are on 8.1 you have to use WPInternals to get to W10

I have been looking, and have not found a program that will allow me to interop unlock the 1020 running 8.1 I had Win 10 10586 installed, but had to revert back to 8.1. Now I cannot download 10586, as it has been taken offline. I want to try and install Redstone, but I need to be able to edit the registry. I cannot get vcREG 1.2 to deploy becaise there is no SD card. I was able to get CustomPFD to deploy.
There has to be a program out there that allows the 1020 running 8.1 to be modified. Any and all help appreciated. :grincry:

Overall, 14393.67 is awesome on L1020. Very responsive, on par with Phone 8.1. I'd love to get glance fixes...

1. Install glance (if you don't have the app anymore) from here
2. Then add these missing registry keys back

Yes, all features are working. Stereo does not unfortunately and it won't come back. MS did not rewrite the 1020 drivers for W10
