Hi All

I bought an unlocked Nokia 925 off ebay, but it had been on the UK 3 network, and had 4G disabled in the firmware.
So I managed to find a copy of Nokia Care Suite, and after changing the config file managed to download the 1.3GB FFU file I needed to flash the phone.

I tried to get the software to recognise my 925 but it wouldnt, and I managed to find out that I had an older version of the NCS

So I found a newer version of the software that suports the 925, but it didnt pickup that id already downloaded the necessary FFU file, and then it wouldnt let me download the necessary FFU file again, even after I fudged the config file to let me access the download servers.

So now Im stuck with an app that'll do the job, an FFU image file that I want to use, but in Nokia Care Suite there seems to be no way of using an image file that resides on your drive - it seems to want to exclusively download a file every time.

I feel so close, yet without this final step I cant see how I can manage to change the firmware on my new phone - any ideas ?

Thanks for any help.

Dean

You could download the developer preview for GDR3 which you will need a developer account to unlock the phone.

I don't think that will unlock the 4g, remember that, that only will update the OS, that is, windows phone 8 core, but i'm pretty sure that the necesary drivers are in the nokia firmwares,(amber, etc)
