Rollback Woes

I'm on the insider programme and had no problems with W10 until the weekend. Then I found that Outlook/Calendar would start and crash after an update on Friday. My options were to hard reset or roll back to 8.1. I chose the latter as I'm not a huge fan of the changes that W10 brings. I'll wait until the full release.

So I've used the recovery tool to roll back to 8.1 and all my apps etc. are good to go ... except for Office. It is nowhere to be found (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Edge). My Office 265 account is setup in "accounts, but there are no apps. I can find nothing to download from the store. Any advice much appreciated.

I'm sorry to say but Mr. Gilbert is correct. The only MS Office apps that are available to OS's < Windows 10 are the "Lite" versions of 2013.
This was my main reason for migrating my mobile to Windows 10 in the first place. In the future consider installing a third party app with very similar functionality and have it already updated and running in tandem. For my secondary calendar I use One Calendar. So that when there is a bad update you can simply disable or slow refresh rates, push notifications, etc. Then switch to your secondary app until the bugs are worked out.
Also, now that you are back down to WP8 consider migrating along the new preview pass in the Windows Insider app. It has more stable builds, and Microsoft needs as much feedback as possible on migrating from 8 to 10.
Good luck. I hope this helps.
