Screen Brightness

Is there an app that will dim the display more than factory app? With it on its lowest setting it is still brighter that a iphone and blackberry we have. If this phone doesnt go any lower does any other wp8 dim real low? I wonder if there is a tinted sheet i can put over the screen?

It could have something to do with the screen technology your phone uses. What Windows Phone do you have anyway?

AMOLED screens tend to be dimmer than IPS panels (like the one in the Lumia 920)

I have a 822 so I assume its AMOLED? is the 928 the same? I know its bad but I work around the clock and it sucks for me and my wife when I get emails in the middle of the night and its like a spot light in the room.

Yep, that is an AMOLED panel indeed. Well I've got nothing then.

I honestly just cover my phone up with a shirt or something. Not an ideal solution, but it works.
