Screen goes blank after dailing, can't hang up

Starting a couple of days ago, I have a major issue where the screen goes blank whenever I dial a number and doesn't come back until the other party disconnects. This means I can't press numbers on a menu or end the call. The proximity sensor doesn't seem to be working at all. the screen goes blank even before I put my face to the phone.

I just got the same problem, is there a screen protector on your phone? You need to remove it.

Yes, I saw your thread, but no I don't have a screen protector.

Take your phone back and get a replacerment your proximity sensor is kaka!

I was afraid that's what I would have to, just when I get it all setup. Guess I need to learn how backup/restore work first.

I had this problem on a Radar, turned out the screen protector was buggin the sensor. But if you dont have one of those... Sucks bro! could always try a hard reset, those seem to fix things like this sometimes.

I see the proximity sensor problems of the 800 haunt the 920 too. My mums 800 had the same problem, the fix? Get it repaired or replaced.

Blowing compressed air on the ear piece fixed it, working normally for a few days now.

I came here looking for a solution, I have the same thing. Blowing air into the earpiece fixed it, too.
