Hey all, so I've had my Icon for about 3 days now. I was just curious if the terrible ghosting/smearing of text is common to all icons? For instance, scrolling through black or blue text on a white background there is a noticeable terrible ghosting of the red, like the red pixels can't keep up. It makes any text look like trash when scrolling.

Someone told me that in no way should it be doing that, yet a google search turned up a handful of similar complaints on the 1020. Just trying to get a consensus.

There is the normal blurring effect when I scroll fast, yes.
But I get that on all of my systems, regardless of where.

Nothing like what you are talking about.

I would recommend backing up everything and doing a hard reset.
Some times, the initial out of the box start ups are not perfect.

I would also check for all updates and run them after the hard reset.

I'll give that a try. Just compared my Icon with a friends S5 which both use Amoled and the S5 there was very slight discernible ghosting or blurring. Nothing like my Icon. Red pixels just arent refreshing fast enough on my screen. Hopefully a reset improves it.

I agree with Tepid. I get the normal slight blurring as I scroll rapidly, but nothing else. I've gotten that on my 928 as well as my Surface Pro, and desktop.
