SDXC Driver Issue

I'm having trouble with the microSD card on my Surface Pro 3 (i5, 4GB). My OneDrive syncs to the microSD card to save room on the internal drive. In the past I've had issues with the default microSD card drivers and have had great success with "USB Mass Storage Device" drivers. In the past I used the steps in this article (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...-working/70d8d205-d1e8-4bb3-be44-d7d19151b358) but it appears that is not working on the latest version of Windows 10. Does anyone have any suggestions on a work around on the latest Windows version?
