Seems the last 8.1 dp update, stopped the charging sound when the phone is plugged to a power outlet

I have noticed that after the latest windows phone 8.1 developer preview update, that my Lumia 925 will not make any sound when is plugged to a power outlet, am I the only one with this problem??

Nope. I've not heard the charging ding in some months now. May have been removed in WP8.0 GDR3 even.

Might want to check if you have Quiet Hours on too.

Try soft reset or hard reset
My lumia 925 has no problems and is rocking with robust performance and the battery life is better than before and the sound when plugged into charger still works on all major phones...

kk then navigate to Settings > ringtones+sounds > Scroll down and check whether the option system alerts is ticked or not...If not tick it...
After try plugging your phone to computer usb or power socket and then see if the sound alert works..
This should work...

I've noticed that, sometimes, if the display is on, when I put the phone on the charger, it does not make the sound. If the display is off, it does.

I still have the charging sound with WP8.1.. But the sounds is different from WP8
