Should I go for Lumia 950 XL or wait for Surface Phone/iPhone 7?

However, it should be noted, the processor does make a difference. If you're using the HDR setting while shooting photos the 950XL has reduced lag during processing (practically none), better battery life due to a larger battery and it runs cooler due to the heatpipe ("liquid cooling") + more space for heat to dissipate throughout the phone.

Is the above still valid?? Should I go for 950XL now or wait few weeks for Elite X3. I expect HP one to be expensive but at least I can see the price...

I was in this position a month ago, 1520 dying on me, wait for the HP or go for the XL, then MS cut the price of the XL and threw in a free dock.

I am sure the XP is going to be one heck of a phone, but I am well pleased with my XL, haven't looked at the 1520 all month and Continuum is great, sure it doesn't have the silver bit, but it's one very underestimated phone in my opinion.

Looking back on this makes me sad, looking at how Windows Mobile turned out. Most likely the OP is on Android or iOS now.
