Shutting down Apps on 928

yes i know but Verizon hasn't released update 3 for Nokia 928 so the only way to get gdr 3 is to be a developer??? GDR 3 is not for the everyday user for the 928??

I've never experimented to see if I thought it actually did, which is why I didn't come out and say that it doesn't... But I do know that it will play HTML5 audio without being in the foreground, if you're playing from IE.

That said, I've never seen anything that made me think it runs in the background other than audio.

Yep. Background file transfer is similar to background audio, in the sense that it can also complete in the background. Using that generally available feature, IE will finish downloading any HTML files that are in transfer. Otherwise, as far as I'm aware, IE is shut down just like any other app.
