So when are you buying your Windows Phone 8?

But Oh Em Gee, you can bump your phone and share stuff... like pics! We don't have to give out emails or phone numbers to share our porn collection! Wait... tell me again why NFC is so desirable? :straight:

@Winning Guy ... it's call SkyDrive!!

But some things just look so cool!

Like if you could have your pictures set to share, and you place your phone on top of your tablet and you see the pictures just flowing out of the phone.

Or just sharing when you don't have a network connection.

Nah. They are uninspiring imo. More anxious to see the software more than anything

Hmmm...Nokia does look different as compared to other OEMs..HTC still has tones of other HTC devices TBH...and Samsung is...Samsung...

I'll wait until a device with a keyboard board gets released. It's the main factor for me...

I'm even consider the dell venue pro..

It just depends. I really want to dump my current phone. If someone comes out with a phone that's configured exactly as what I desire, then I'll buy it on day one. No contract, no carrier lock, a full outright purchase.

But I have a feeling that I'll have to wait for what I want, so chose "when the dust settles".

LO AND BEHOLD!!!

MY GRANNY AGREED TO BUY ME ONE TODAY!!!

WOOT! SO, I think its DAy 1 for me too!!!

Surface in October. And an off-contract WP8 in the Spring. I buy on/off contract every other year. Keeps things fresh.

After WMC2013 (hopefully second gen WP8 will be announced there). By then I'll already have a better idea of how WP8 is performing and if developers are supporting it more.

I like the ATIV S design but it's still not perfect because I need a phone with a camera just as good or better than the one on my N8 and by the looks of it that possibility is weak.

And for the Lumia leaks, I'm not liking the design. Can't stand that big black empty basel on the bottom of the phones.

will buy as soon as someone comes out with a high end small form factor phone. I want great specs but not a big-*** phone.
really love the look of the ATIV, just too big.

i want to see all phones first compare spec. design and price then i'll buy
im 99% sure i'll buy Nokia Lumia

I'm eligible to upgrade 9/10, waiting for Verizon to announce their first run of WP8 devices. If none of them match the Razr HD I won't be getting one. I doubt that will be an issue, but it is a condition.

I'll be eligible to upgrade in November so I'll wait until Black Friday or some other crazy deal. My wife will be getting her first smartphone and it'll be nice to have 2 different WP8s in the house.

Where's the option for "when my contract allows for an upgrade"? I'd buy on Day 1 if I could get one at the subsidized price, but I'm not due for an upgrade until March 2013. But I'm not waiting for prices to fall or anything.

You lucky dawgs whose contracts are coming due in the next four months or so are in a great position to grab a WP8 when the right one comes along. Sigh....

I, however, will most likely be getting new ones at full price for both myself and my Wife. For her it is legitimate: She needs the ability to accept payments during crafting shows that she is planning to attend. So, either WP 8 will have access to this function like Intuit or a Pay Pal credit card reader in the Wallet Hub, or I am going to have to buy her a (GASP!!!!) Android. It hurt to type that. But I am confident that this will come with WP 8 and we are good.

As for me, I will wait until the perfect device comes out (keyboard, nice screen size please..) and then open up my wallet. I am a sucker for mobile tech. But I am not in a hurry.

At least, I keep telling myself that.....

Not before November.

I become eligible for discounted pricing in November and hopefully between the release date and then I will be able to find out exactly where WP8 improves on WP7.5. For example (a big example), if WP8 does not have text reflow enabled in both the browser and the PDF viewing areas then it is a non-starter for me.

I will not be able to buy it on day one, because my contract with N8 expires at the end of the year (although I currently own Lumia 710). But I will proceed to WP8 as soon as I will be able too.
