No matter what I do, I can't get my SP3 to sleep. I have all the timings correct in the power settings. even now, I have pressed the power button, screen switched off, but the music is still playing. it is not asleep. when I close the keyboard (SP4) it just wont sleep. I have to force hibernation every time. When moving around, the tablet is on in my backpack, overheating, etc. Is there a way to completely reset all power settings so that Surface is more agressive about falling asleep and staying that way until I either open the keyboard or press the power button? I do not even care for connected standby at this point.

you could try the reset options in settings > update
This will remove stuff so be aware of what you're doing

But before you do that, have you checked for updates for OS and firmware?

Here is a bug that I found with my SP3 and W10 and power: Have the power cord plugged in, put the system to sleep, then remove the power cord. The system will wake up and drain your battery.

Work around: Unplug the power cord, then put the system to sleep (power button, flip keyboard closed, etc.).

I was hoping to fix it without resetting. But I guess I will take the plunge when anniversary update comes out. Currently all updates are in place.
