Specific reasons not to include the double tap to wake feature on Lumia 550 ?

I know that double tap to wake is now available on the Lumia 950/XL but, wondering why its not available on the Lumia 550? It is available on Lumia 520, 535 and even 640/XL series. So, what could exactly be the reason for not including this useful feature on this new Windows 10 Mobile device by Microsoft other than just leaving features behind to ask the users to use high end devices?

I think it might be hardware, but also note that the 650 doesn't have it either.

650 got DTTW in latest firmware update. I also got firmware 01078.00042.16352.50012 for L550 but no DTTW here. Can anyone provide changelog.

I am also seeing 01078.00042.16352.50004 firmware in the Windows Device Recovery Tool but, can't install it, as I don't want to lose the data in my phone.

Hope DTTW is also coming to LUmia 550 Waiting anxiously for it !
