Android is great but the fragmentation turned me off

How many android devices did you own/operate at the same time where "fragmentation" actually presented an issue when transitioning use of devices?

It's confusing (to me) when people cite fragmentation among android versions as a mark against the OS. I'm currently using 4.0 and 2.3 on separate devices, and it's not an issue.

Anyway, RE: Lumia 900 on Verizon...when it happens, I'm switching over to WP.

it's an issue because the features in each version are different. I've had Droid since 1.0 and each version was bad and kept getting better and better. Crashing less and less. Especially when i went to Froyo. THAT was the only time i didn't feel jealous of iPhone users

Now, ICS is soooo much better than 2.2 and 2.3 that it IS a big deal if you buy a phone and stuck for 2 years and will NEVER get upgraded. THAT is the issue.

MS has done very well here. Their promise is what led me to jump ship November 2010

exactly... THE PHONES NOT EVEN OUT YET...

of course you won't see it. You typical "sheep" consumer walks into AT&T/VZ and the guys goes "oh you want an Iphone!"...

WP7's havent been in those stores... seriously give it some time... for crying out loud.

Verizon is making a mistake, like they did with the iphone... They have dumb managment who must be fanbois(i'll bet its the google kickbacks though)

At least let them show a commercial and put some product on the shelves before you internet geniuses go "OMG WP7 is dead"

I think all Carriers push Android devices because how profitable they are, on VZW you will not see the reps pushing the iPhone because of how commisions are paid. Indirect reps make almost no money on iphones so they rather go with Android, the reason you have the huge iphone numbers on VZW is because BestBuy and walmart don't pay commision to their employees.
