Stuff that seems to me missing

Here are a few things that I've noticed missing or changed in a bad (to me) way:

1. The area to control "background task" permission is gone from settings
2. I can't post to Facebook+Twitter+LinkedIn at the same time. It's one at a time, now
3. The choice of ring+vibrate and vibrate only is missing
4. I'm using Facebook Beta, so WP8.1 keeps showing me the suggestion to download The New Facebook App

That's is, so far, for me! Anyone else notice anything or know a workaround from what I've found??

2. I can't post to Facebook+Twitter+LinkedIn at the same time. It's one at a time, now --> Unfortunate but true.
3. The choice of ring+vibrate and vibrate only is missing. --> This is handled by the volume picker that pops up when you raise or lower it using the buttons.
4. I'm using Facebook Beta, so WP8.1 keeps showing me the suggestion to download The New Facebook App --> This is also unfortunate but true.

4. Facebook Beta dose not register, Maybe a update will fix it... You have to download the one that they suggest you.

Can no longer natively post photos to twitter. Must install the (storage filling) app. *ugh* :\
Message tones are no longer in ringtone settings

My glance screen is gone. Did a hard reset, before updating to WP8.1. WP store is down here in Denmark, so I can't check if it's a Nokia app, but as I recall it should come with the OS right?

No. Glance is not part of WP. It is reliant on the Glance app from Nokia & Amber or newer firmware.

The possibility to turn off connect to Xbox in the game hub is also gone. This **** eating the battery

I had to turn glance on in settings and reboot to get it to work.

Ooops, just read that you did a hard reset. Yeah, you'll have to wait for the store to come back up.

Open the link on your Windows Phone. It will launch the store and give you the option to download. Also make sure Extras Info is up to date.

The "Me Hub" picture will no longer pull the profile pic from Facebook.

How do you choose to make an app show up in the notification center without having it notify you?

Under Notifications+Actions in Settings, select an app and uncheck "Show notification banners".
