Suggestion: Change "Recent Top" tab to "Recent Activity"

Right now, the forum has the "Recent Top Threads and Members" tab on top. Personally, I deem it pretty useless, as its content is very static, with always the same threads being the most viewed or most commented on. If you look closely, you will also notice, that both thread columns are utterly redundant. The most viewed and most replied to threads are almost exactly the same...

The "Top Posters" tab has no point at all, why would I want to know who has time to get the most posts per period? Most Thanked and Most Liked do make sense though, as they refer to possibly good content.

I'm missing a "Recent Activity" column with newest threads and posts, so I don't have to scan each forum. I can't even see new posts from the forum frontpage without having to remember the date and time the last time I checked the most recent thread.

Oh, and the "Recent Top.." tab breaks the layout in Chrome and Opera. Noone ever noticed?

It's broken in IE too jesdt and i always close it without reading it when i arrive but of course it doesn't stay closed.

IMO it's totally pointless and could just be simply removed and then the forum layout would be clean again.

Would anyone really miss it? I mean it was never there to begin with.

I think some changes are in order at least it needs to fit the forum layout. I am listening to you guys and will relay the message to the guy who put it there. This add-in is used in the other forums and has been a big hit with those guys. However this is not an Android, iPhone, Crackberry crowd so what is working there might not be a good fit here. I want to hear some more opinions so post up tell me what you think and why.

It's been fixed now it seems Big DS as i mentioned in another thread.

Good news the forums are tidy looking again.

I still think it's a bit of a pointless addition, but that's just a me thing, i'm sure loads think it's the bees knees.

Anyway, I no longer have to close it to stop it annoying my delicate eyes.

Yay the forum just gets better, the pointless (IMO) top panel (Top Posters Blah Blah) has been removed, it looks so much better without it.

It's fine now size wize yep. I noticed when it was removed the users online section was removed too so perhaps they can't remove only the top section by itself, it doesn't matter now anyway as it's not misbehaving anymore.

I can't see how the display of utterly redundant and uninformative content doesn't matter. I could care less about its correct formatting.
