Hi,

I recently bought a Surface 2 RT for my daughter to have and play/watch movies on.
I got it for a fair price so that´s why I didn´t get her an Android-device but I´m not sure that I did the right choice :(.

Now, to my problems:
I can´t install apps from MIcrosoft store since my updates doesnt work...
I get a fair amount of updates in the beginning but when i have installed about 100-150 updates it won´t update anymore...
I´ll come to the update where Onedrive replaces Skydrive on the system but after that windows update stucks on "Checking for Updates", no error code or anything...

I´ve done following on my Surface RT:
- Clean reset(3 times)
- Reset with keeping my files(2 times)
- 1 clean reset from MIcrosofts imagefile
- Windows update troubleshooter(Which always find the same issues and resolves those. Even if I´m doing the troubleshooter directly after the previous it founds the same issue)
- Tried the last time with only a local account(no Microsoft Account)

Do you guys/girls know anything about this issue and how to solve it?

I gave it a new shot with a full restore and Clean Surface...
This time I separated the updates and installed them based on categorys.
It was a change in the % of completed and installed updates... Every update was installed without any errors and the last updates was KB3063843 and KB2919355 which was installed without any errors.

Now on the Other hand, we are back to normal... Windows Update stucks at "Checking for updates". It must be something in those 2 updates which causing this issue, do anyone of you experience the same issue?

I´m aware that RT isn´t Microsoft´s priority(never been) but they should have some information about this but I cant find any:(

Sorry, and good luck to both of you with your RTs.
FWIW, my original RT still updates automatically, regularly, and flawlessly. I use it nearly every day, mostly for browsing, occasionally playing Asphalt 8, and some for watching/transmitting movies.

It seems the issue is widespread. Found a similar topic on XDA. I think it's safe to say that this possibly is a problem on Microsoft's end... I wasn't really having issues with my rt untill I did this factory reset. So I would advice anyone with a surface or surface 2 (and possibly a similar Nokia Lumia running RT) not to do a reset untill this issue is resolved, if ever...
