I see everyone wants a Surface laptop. Microsoft really needs to keep this in front of people. Market it MS!

As for me, I am in need of a new laptop as my aging (office) laptop is showing its age and I need to have something modern portable for my off-site days (many more to come).

I write (working on it) and this would be an awesome device to write (type) on, with the occasional on-screen (pen) writing as well.

Surface Laptop is a great device. I think the minimum RAM should be 8GB. I don't have a huge concern with port selection though.

I own a SP3 and been waiting for SBook .... but it seems that Portugal is not on the MS map ...

In the meantime I'll check out SL as soon as it's available in a store near me

The thing about it that really catches my eye besides the gorgeous screen is the possibility of true all-day, all-night battery life. Sure, you can talk about the lack of convertability, but for someone who spends most of their time writing academic papers and praying that their laptop survives the day, this is huge. Plus - it has a touchscreen, which is already in itself worlds more functional than a MacBook.

I think I'll partition the SSD
and clone the OS
then upgrade to the old Windows 10 before that offer expires
in order to test it with both OS
just to see the differences.
