Surface Laptop or the 2017 Surface Pro

No worries

Yeah, given that Panos had to hold it when he was presenting it and that the screen still flexed then the tilt function of the pen probably wouldn't be working really well.

i noticed that. the thickness of the surface pro models and the size of the surface studio make for durable surfaces (hehe) to draw on, but the limiting tilt and thinness of the surface laptop just wont work well for shading let alone detailed drawing.

a close call but I'd go surface pro. thought it has what surface laptop can do. minus, using it on my lap :) joking aside, I thought Pro has that advantage to use it "more" in differrent scenarios.

hey there, if you get the type cover too then the surface pro is definitely more versatile. it can do what the surface laptop can do and more. even if you just use the surface pro as a desktop computer with a usb or bluetooth keyboard it works well. its also more comfortable if you enjoy standing and holding a device while working. even though the surface laptop is light, i wouldnt carry it and type.

I would go for Surface Laptop because the specs are bit more better than the Surface Pro.

youre right on the specs for the laptop being better because of the included keyboard. i want the burgundy surface laptop, so when comparing both the surface pro and the surface laptop at those specs (256 gb/8 gb ram/intel core i5) they are the exact same price but adding on the type cover to the surface pro is an extra $150+. if youre not going to make use of the surface pen, it would make more sense to get the laptop as the keyboard is included.
