So as the title states my (Microsoft Surface Laptop i5 4GB 128GB) has stopped charging after installing one of the automatic windows 10 updates. After connecting the charger to the laptop there is no indication that a charger has been connected.

I've attempted to go back to an earlier build in the recovery settings, however it won't let me do that unless the laptop is plugged in and charging...however the laptop is no longer recognizing the charger so at this stage i'm not sure what I can do.

Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update > View Update history > click on the most recent update > hit uninstall

Try that and see how it goes

Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update > View Update history > click on the most recent update > hit uninstall

Try that and see how it goes

The laptop has no battery left now so unfortunately I can't even go in and try that

By chance is there a Microsoft Store you can take it to? Maybe you can get some further assistance there, though your warranty period might be over depending on when you got it.
