SURFACE FAN RUNNING PROBLEM FIXED! This took some time going back and forth from 10 to 8 but it works. The fan runs because the CPU is running. You just need to turn off what is running constantly in the background. Windows 10 update is a cousin of Windows 8 installed. Set up 8 first, without installing programs. If your using a Start Page login, do that first. I like a pin. Next, set up OneDrive. Do not choose to have OneDrive saved to your hard drive. If anyone from Windows is reading this, please make the location choice an SD or external hard drive. With a Surface, space is limited. This shuts off the continuous sync going on between OneDrive cloud and the hard drive. Next, update to 10 and do not turn on the Hey Cortana. This creates constant Cortana listening, a burden on the CPU. Then load all of your programs.
