Hi!

I have been offered to buy a Microsoft Surface Pro 64gb withe type cover for 438$, is it worth it with both the Surface 2 pro and Surface 3 Pro out in the market? How does it stand theese days?

That sounds rather expensive for only 64 GB. I'd look for a better price if I were you.

Its a decent price. I'm selling my SP 1 128 GB for $375 without a type cover, and you can typically get type cover 2's for around $60, or the power cover for $100 now.

64gb version is fine depending on what you do. I have the 64gb version and have about 20gb free. I think that price is a litter high for that version. Have seen the 128gb version with keyboard for about $400 usually.

Check Swappa.com as well for price ranges.

Got my 128Gb for 500?. Office was included, plus type keyboard 2 and Xbox 360 and 6 games with it 😁

Also got a 128G with keyboard cheap in the UK a few months ago, got to admit it's a really good bit of kit, but do be aware of the battery life, it's no where as good as my wife's Surface 2 or the newer versions also the weight is worth thinking about, again compared to my wife's S2 it is much heavier, this doesn't worry me at all, but some might.

It is still a well specified device, it runs just about everything you would want it to, and even if you go for the 64g you can always stick an SD card in.

no way a Surface Pro machine should come with only 64 GB of storage. Install some major software like Office and Adobe software and that 64 GB will be gone fast. microSD cards only partially help because a lot of stuff cannot be installed on drives other than C:

the only people I can see using a Surface Pro with only 64 GB are people who want the luxurious speed of the Surface Pro but only plan to dabble in apps and use it basically for simple things like web browsing and email.
