Syncing todo list between WP7 and Surface

Has anyone figured out whether it's possible to sync the built in todo list in the WP7.5 calendar app and Surface? And if so where would it show up on my Surface?

Really struggling to find a good todo list solution that works across my WP7.5 and my Surface. Wunderlist haven't released their Windows RT app yet (and anyway it's soooo slow on my Windows Phone I've had to give up on it).

Need to find something that syncs over the air.

any thoughts?

I generally just use one note, syncs everywhere, has checkbox capabilities. Just made a onenote doc called "to do" and managed it by hand. I stopped using the todo on the phone since I found its implentation cumbersome.
