Taking good action photos w/ Windows Camera

Can someone give me some tips or point me where I can find out how to take some moving-action photos where the main image doesn't come out blurry. I thought there were settings for action shots? I'm run with a 950XL.

The concept is easy to remember: You want to capture actions shots, i.e. subjects that are moving. To "freeze" them, you need a fast shutter speed. However, with faster shutter speeds you would also need more light.

Hence, I would recommend using shutter speeds above 1/500s, leave the white balance and ISO to auto. If you can also prefocus on your subject (manually setting the focus to the area where your subject will be in when you capture the photo), then better since this will save you from the time it would take the phone to focus on your subject.

In summary:
- auto ISO
- auto white balance
- shutter speed higher than 1/500s (higher is better, but check that ISO is not too high (check image quality for noise) and that the image is not too dark). If you have to go slower than 1/500, check if the image is still free from blur (usually it will be already, but that depends on how fast your subject is moving). If you have to go slower than 1/250s, you may need more light - that's just how it is given the limitations of a mobile camera phone. The 950XL LED "flash" won't help because it's not a real flash.
