Thought My Phone Was Possessed! Wireless Charging Problem?

For the past several months, I thought my phone might be possessed. Every night, usually several times, I would hear what sounded like a text notification and the screen would come on for a few seconds. When I checked, there was never a text. I then started thinking it was some notification from either a sports or news application. I went through all of my apps and turned of notifications. Still, the problem persisted. I then thought it might be related to Glance, and turned that off. No luck.
Last night, as I set the phone on my wireless charging dock, it dawned on me what I was hearing and seeing was exactly what happens when you first place your phone on the wireless charging station. I then decided to charge my phone with the wired charger and, lo and behold, no waking up of my phone!

Granted, this is just one night, but I think I have solved the problem. Now my question is why is this happening? Is it a problem with the charger or with the phone? Has anyone else had this same problem?

Yeah this has happened to me a few times.

Are you using a Lumia 1020 with the wireless cover? In my case, I think the cover just doesn't do a great job of making contact with the phone. Re seating the case usually fixes the problem, though it kind of defeats the purpose of the convenience of wireless charging.

Happens to me every now and then. One time it just stopped charging altogether in the middle of the night. I blame GDR2, its only happened since then. Still not a huge deal to me.

I've heard it as well... I just figured it was notifying me that it was done charging because the phone is completely charged and the light on the charging plate is off when I go check on it.

For what its worth... my 8x stops charging wireless on the JBL or Charge Stand. And it seems to be more after the GDR2. Yeah I know this is the 928 forum... but I just won one on ebay and Im reading up on it.

Mine has always done that. I assume its because after you're 100% charged, it stops charging. After so long your battery will drain and it just starts charging again.

I purchased my 928 this summer, and just recently bought 2 wireless chargers, one for home and one for work. On both chargers my phone will charge for awhile and then the white light shuts off like its at 100%...only it's not! usually less than 50%. Any ideas to troubleshoot? Haven't dropped or damaged my new phone to damage the wireless charging hardware.
