Why some apps don't appear in the Store app as having updates and I need to go to the app page and update by myself?

Bacause WP only checks once per day around the same time each day so if the updates come out after that time you won't see an update for it until the NEXT day at that time. The time is different for everyone depending on when you last hard reset/flashed/updated it.

I had to update my fb app manually on 20th and the update was released on 13th...

I have this problem for around a month. I have contacted Microsoft support and been told they are investigating the problem.

Store will show it if you have live tile on or it will show whenever you open store
