I really wish I wouldn't be in a situation to say this, but the slowness in rolling out the update, in a non understandable way, makes me frustrated here, for the following reasons:
1- No Clear dates are provided to roll out the update, not even clear estimation of rolling out the update.
2- Non uniform roll out of the update per region or even globally.
3- After all the waiting when the update start rolling out, Oh its been discovered that there is a problem with the WP 8.1 DP and Cyan Update & users will have to revert back their phones to WP 8.0 to be able to install the update.
4- The under testing, Provider testing or Operator testing.. what is that???? many countries all over the regions have devices that are not operator locked and many of those operators who have the devices locked want to guaranty sales of devices they have invested in and keep their promises to their clients.....but they end up looking like fools, cause they will have to wait for an approval from the manufacturer before they send it out.
I have been supporting the plat form since the first day it was released and have been trying hard to convince people of the professionalism, the capabilities and strengths of WP not only WP 8.1 and I have personally purchased and have been testing only on on the WP 8 Lumia 920, 925, 1320, 1520 & few days back The Lumia 930. and before that many devices for WP 7.8, WP 7.5, all the way back to WM 4.
Consumers will not always be clear and come back with a feed back, people can easily dump it, and go get an other device with an other platform and never look back.
Windows Phone 8.1 with Cyan Update is amazing and I hope that the roll out process would be more professional or at least clear for consumers & operators. We need more people on the WP platform.
