still waiting for update for two 720. It seems any "real" information what and when are top secret. I don't understand that. Why MS is keeping us in this crazy situation. It looks like MS doesn't know what to do. By this MS will probably lost some part of customers around the world. Its a pity because in my country Lumia was second successful phone according to country sales figures. First is as usual Samsung. Now there is anther player. Chinese company Xiaomi. New company and within 6 month they have sold more than 28 billion phones worldwide.

I really wish I wouldn't be in a situation to say this, but the slowness in rolling out the update, in a non understandable way, makes me frustrated here, for the following reasons:
1- No Clear dates are provided to roll out the update, not even clear estimation of rolling out the update.
2- Non uniform roll out of the update per region or even globally.
3- After all the waiting when the update start rolling out, Oh its been discovered that there is a problem with the WP 8.1 DP and Cyan Update & users will have to revert back their phones to WP 8.0 to be able to install the update.
4- The under testing, Provider testing or Operator testing.. what is that???? many countries all over the regions have devices that are not operator locked and many of those operators who have the devices locked want to guaranty sales of devices they have invested in and keep their promises to their clients.....but they end up looking like fools, cause they will have to wait for an approval from the manufacturer before they send it out.
I have been supporting the plat form since the first day it was released and have been trying hard to convince people of the professionalism, the capabilities and strengths of WP not only WP 8.1 and I have personally purchased and have been testing only on on the WP 8 Lumia 920, 925, 1320, 1520 & few days back The Lumia 930. and before that many devices for WP 7.8, WP 7.5, all the way back to WM 4.
Consumers will not always be clear and come back with a feed back, people can easily dump it, and go get an other device with an other platform and never look back.
Windows Phone 8.1 with Cyan Update is amazing and I hope that the roll out process would be more professional or at least clear for consumers & operators. We need more people on the WP platform.

Couldnt agree more with you. I keep supporting them all the time even when my friends who use another platform condemning windows phone. But somehow from what I can see Microsoft did not perform their job well. Walk the talk! We have been waiting for number of days since the announcement. I do love my Windows Phone but I dont know whether they love their customers or not. Customers always right! :D

This happens with every update on every platform, even Apple. And they have the art of updates nearly perfected! When the update comes, you will be so pleased that you will forget the emotional distress caused by the wait.

non of the above is relevant to emotions. Its about consumer satisfaction. Other platforms that you are either an OEM with a single or recently 2 devices. and the other plat form "Android" majority of the people using them does not know much about what would the update bring to the device cause; again: majority of them; either want to play The "Sagas" or just got the phone cause most of the people they know are using it.
With the Andoid updates, just few developers care about it. and here with WP, we are trying to move the small number of users forward not to put them down...take a look on the long list of people asking here...Man it is 101 pages of comments...mainly " When?" & Why?" All the comments above are not deniable and they stand as real facts.
