Track WP8.1 + Lumia Cyan Rollout!

i just notice that when your run NSU for Retail, it will update to the latest Cyan firmware considering that you're country has it. So people tired of waiting for Cyan and still rocking the Black firmware can update to DP 8.1 Update 1 and when their country decides to release Cyan, then they can just run NSU for Retail so it can install Cyan firmware..

Don't know if it is already posted by someone else, i just notice the convenience..

What is NSU? I have 720 with 8.1DP+Update1 waiting for firmware. Jere in india it says cyan is released for 720. But i checked for mine its not showing any available update. My phone is not a comp phone so i guess i am not from the bitlocker ones. So when will i get the firmware in india for 720 8.1 DP+Update 1 users?

If anyone really wants to to know for sure what is happening, get on twitter and hound the **** out of Joe Belfiore, Nokia, whoever your carrier is, and Microsoft all at the same time. Belfiore was the one who told about 8.1 in the first place, so he knows something! I'd do it myself, but I really don't want or need a twitter account lolz.

all models will get it missing is city lens its only available for high end models no 520 525 etc

to update your phone you need to downgrade your developers preview back to windows 8 so maybe that is why its not showing the update for your phone!

Still, if there is some sort of issue preventing the release, it makes no sense to keep it secret from the customers. I wouldn't mind waiting if they were honest about why.

good luck, but apart from Nokia/Microsoft India, where 90% of what they say turns out to not be true, I doubt you'll hear anything. I share your frustration at the lack of information.

I asked nokia portugal on their facebook page when was the 920CV-pt coming and they told me it depended on the carrier. I had an immediate face-palm moment! since my L920 is CV and my carrier is Vodafone, witch already has cyan in Portugal. Is Nokia trying to give us the middle finger?

I dont believe that who has 8.1 GDR1 DP has to downgrade to 8 to get cyan...
At least thats what i've read from these foruns not long ago
But even if I need to L920 FR CV still unavailable so... I will not downgrade until the end of september (if needed)
Meanwhile I enjoy the 8.1 GDR1

to update your phone you need to downgrade your developers preview back to windows 8 so maybe that is why its not showing the update for your phone!

now there is an easy way when you're on developers preview.. just check on Nokia Software Updater for Retail, and when your country has release the Cyan update for your phone, you let the NSU for Retail do the work for you.. it will install Cyan on your phone so no need to go back to WP8 Black..

also Navifirm has Cyan firmwares ready to download, so countries with Cyan firmwares can now be downloaded via Navifirm or NSU for Retail..

Im hoping for the same damnnnn thing. im so impatient about this now. i downloaded the preview for developers this morning, if At&t doesn't release it officially today, im installing the preview. **** At&t.
