Sorry, but back in to 'rant' mode...

We now know for a fact that O2 in the UK have tested and approved Lumia Cyan on all Lumia Devices (Windows Phone 8.1 Update - All the info right here... - Page 12 - O2 Community for those who want 'evidence'), so what is now stopping Nokia / Microsoft from telling us when we can expect the downloads?

Even if it is now going to be a week away, there is nothing stopping them from telling us this.

I am sure O2 are not the only ones who have done this now.

Update has been released in Australia for the Nokia Lumia 925 (CV, Vodafone and Optus) and also for the L625 (CV and Optus)
You still need to downgrade to WP8.0 from WP8.1 DP to get the Cyan update.

Does anyone know if phones running the Dev preview will eventually get more updates once MS fix the BitLocker issue, or is it 100% certain that we all need to downgrade to WP8 first ?

The case with BitLocker is just an exception. Normally DP users receive the updates as well.

Thanks yea I know normally dev preview will get updates too, but just wondering if that is the case this time around too, because of the problem

ie: Will MS fix it and continue updating dev preview phones, or is the only way to get more updates this time to downgrade?

MS is working on fix now, so sooner or later DP users will receive Cyan.

Everytime I try to backup my Lumia 1020 with the latest 8.1 update (the one which was pulled back), i get an error message. The last backup is older than three weeks ago and if I need to downgrade to 8.0 in order to get the update when available, I will lose all my configuration, app list and start screen. What should I do?

Usually at 97%, sometimes at 99%. I could try doing that, but isn't it a bit risky? I'd rather have a three week old backup than start from the beggining. Is there any way of backing the phone up with a computer? Thank you very much anyways.

I hope today we will get the update for the 1020 country variants.

Are Microsoft / Nokia / carriers monitoring this forum. There seems to be a lot of people getting very fed up here.

I hope you are taking note!
