Triplicate Facebook messages in Action center

Does anyone else have this issue. In Action center, I get 3 notifications for every FB Messenger messages. I have FB messenger, FB and Fb beta apps installed, so they may be related, but the posts show up under Messenger. Addtionally, the FB app has notifications disabled for messages, and the beta app has notifications disabled entirely.

It's a hindrance when I have a few messages come in on FB.... anyone knows a solution for this (other than resets?)

In the FB and FB beta apps, go to settings > notifications > and uncheck the messages option.

I would suggest trying to remove both Facebook and Facebook beta, then reinstall just Facebook (non-beta) and then uncheck the option for Messages notifications again in the Facebook app. The beta isn't yet updated to work properly with 8.1 notifications. I did this and I only get 1 notification through Messenger.

I'm getting duplicates as well from the messenger app, metromail, and whatsapp.

Doing what Maaz suggested brought it down to duplicates (even though Facebook app is now set to "Live tile only")

I am not getting the same problem with whatsapp though, as Binson#WP does....

On the Facebook app, I have Mine set to "Toasts and Live Tile" and the only one that is unchecked is "Message." Then in the Notification Center, I have "Show in Action Center" On but I have "Show Notification Banners" and "Vibrate" both off, and no notification sound.
For messages I receive a toast and notification from the Messenger, and for any other Facebook notifications they only show up in the Action Center and Live Tile (and of course inside the Facebook app); this was the way I wanted it as I don't want to be bothered with a popup every time someone comments on a post that I commented on, etc.

Thanks for trying to help.... but I am back to triplicate messages (even without a Facebook beta app).... so it's definitely not related to the Facebook app as such and just the messenger or Notification center acting up.... seems to me that not many people are affected by this "bug" ?
