Typecover backlight

I just bought a SP4 typecover for my SP3 - love the key spacing. But I noticed that when I turned the brightness of the screen down all the way using the Fn+BSP keys, the backlight of the typecover also went down (disappeared), and now when I turn the screen brightness up, the backlight is gone from the typecover. Is there a keystroke combination to control the typecover backlight?

The light of the type cover is controlled by F1 and F2 keys when the Fn key is off (no light).
