Unable to retrieve Amber Update

Today my replacement Lumia 820 arrived in the mail, so I went through the steps of updating my phone, installing GDR 3 through the Preview for Developers program and so on... However, my device isn't able to retrieve the Amber update. I find this really weird because my last Lumia 820 had Amber and this new device is using the same network and SIM card.

Does anyone have a resolution to this?

If that replacement unit comes from nokia then highly likely its already on amber.

What is the current OS version you are seeing in 'about' option?

You were running Update 2 (yes that's what MS has been calling it) already when you received your phone, that's the reason you were able to install Update 3. What you're missing is the updated apps for Amber. Download SysApp Pusher from the store and check for updates/install missing Nokia System Apps, including extras+info, once done reboot and you should be good. Infact installing/updating the missing/existing System Apps will improve overall performance.
