Unlocked 830 or ATT version: which is better?

The price is $450 off contract. if it was $300, I would already jump on it already. I refuse to pay $450 for a phone with that type of specification, although I would admit that the phone looks very nice.

I agree, the 830 w/ those black metal and green back looks absolutely stunning in person. I am actually waiting for the FitBit deal to get done sometime in January so I can buy the phone for $350 or buy a slightly used phone for slightly less.

Both my wife and I have fitbits, so of course I didn't want it at first. But since it comes in its original packaging, I thought heck! I can wrap it up and give it to someone for Christmas. One less thing to shop for.

Well the AT&T version does come with a $100 Fitbit for that price. I sold my Fitbit the day I got the 830 for $80..

By that math the 830 cost me ($450-$80) $370 which all things considered is not bad. Still a tad bit higher than it should be but not by much. I originally guessed, when I 1st heard of the phone, that it would be $350 off contract.

Just sell the Fitbit on eBay or Craigslist OR keep it and give it as a Christmas gift to someone...

I dont think the L830 price will drop to 350 because of the the current price with the "free" flex. If the phone was to be 350 without the flex, the current offering wouldn't be a deal at all due to the pricing of the flex at roughly 100 bucks. I believe a lot of people would be burned by this if it was to happen.

There are also plenty of new AT&T 830s on eBay for $359, if you're ok with the black frame.

I'm thinking about getting one. I'm on an att 635 now. I'm curious to why att isn't selling at that price or how the seller is getting them to sell.
Edit: ATT versions are now on eBay.

Has anyone with the international unlocked version gotten MMS to work on AT&T? I swear I have tried every setting I've found on the internet with no luck.

Have you stopped by an ATT store to make sure you have the correct network type IPv4, 6, v4v6, or whatever it should be, the MMS access point name etc / that's what I had to do with mine for T Mobile, I couldn't figure it out without their help.

I have an international 830 (RM-984) and I'm on AT&T and I have no problems at all with MMS.
Didn't have to mess with manually setting up the APN or anything. Just popped my SIM card in, powered it on and was good to go.
