Upgraded phones, but lost old IE favorites

A few days ago I got a Lumia 950 from AT&T as a warranty exchange for my wife's 1520. We haven't erased her old phone yet. All her old IE favorites from her Lumia 1520 didn't get transferred to the 950 when I backed up her phone and restored onto her new 950. Has anyone successfully transferred their old 8.1 favorites to Win10Mobile? Admins, if this is in the wrong forum I apologize as in I wasn't sure where to begin.

Same issue for me. At some point when syncing became available on Win10 mobile, it also affected those handsets that would eventually get Win10 mobile. My 735 just one day lost all favs in IE on Win Phone 8.1, but strangely all the folders from my desktop (with Win10) were present on my phone, but none of the links were in the folders. So something obviously was turned on by MS, but didn't work quite right.

Now that I have Win 10 mobile and Edge, I do have all the favs from my desktop.

On my laptop I imported my IE bookmarks into Edge which then synced.

I will try again later today to see if I can get her old faves onto edge because I searched the folders and nothing.
