I have an Intuos 3. I'll see if it works tomorrow.
I can tell you right now that it's not going to. Across tablet PCs that use a Wacom digitizer, yes, all pens are intercompatible. They all use the Wacom "Penabled" technology, which Wacom has recently re-branded to "feel IT". The Intuos ones won't work, and there were two Cintiq pens that worked (15X and the 18SX, I believe), but those aren't sold any more. So yes, the S-pen, and the Surface Pen, and the new Wacom Bamboo Stylus Feel (but not the Bamboo Stylus, which is a capacitive pen, and not any other Bamboo pen either, because they screwed up the branding by naming it the same as a previous product) will all work on the Pro, or a Galaxy Note, or the Ativ SmartPC. Other Wacom digitizer pens will not work, however.
Also, to the person who said that you can use a Wacom pen on any capacitive screened tablet provided that drivers are available, that is completely false. There needs to be a Wacom digitizer layer there. However, Wacom does sell the Bamboo Stylus, as mentioned, which is just a standard capacitive stylus and doesn't give nearly the same accuracy.
