Verizon Warranty Claims and WP 8.1 Dev Preview

Has anyone running WP 8.1 Dev Preview tried to submit a warranty claim with Verizon? The screen on my 928 is starting to come out of the housing and I'm trying to decide if I need to restore it to WP 8.0 before taking it to Verizon. Any advice is appreciated.
