I keep getting these BSOD on my SB due to some "Video Scheduler" error. It happens randomly, can't put my finger on it. This is my second SB, the other had a bunch of issues and a dead pixel but wasn't as prone to BSODs. I've been just using it as a personal laptop because last time I set up my SB for work and ended up being completely unproductive due to all the early bugs that kept piling on. Still, I think this second SB could actually be productive if it didn't crash so often. Hopefully someone here has found a solution.

You're probably referring to the VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR which seems to be a video driver or graphics driver issue. Go to Device Management (press Win+R to open Run and type devmgmt.msc) and search for updates. Can't find any, refer to the Windows Central article posted not too long ago that details this.

Thanks. Just tried that and there was nothing new. I already have the latest firmware updates and windows updates. I also did a search for articles about this here but didn't find any.

After reading over some of the threads here again, I decided to stop using Edge. I've been using the computer quite a bit and it hasn't crashed yet, so I'm optimistic! It used to crash on queue after some regular use, but since moving away from Edge I've been able to use the computer for a few hours without issues. Fingers crossed.

I hope you find a solution. Are you on a Windows Insider build? If so it might be a good idea to leave the Windows Insider program. Insider builds sometimes conflict with drivers and Microsoft can't update drivers.

No, I don't have an insider build on the SB. I am happy to report that since dropping Edge I haven't had a BSOD. I've used the computer quite extensively over the weekend, so I'm excited and start using it as my full time laptop tomorrow on.

Glad to hear it. I suggest giving Edge a try again when Threshold 2 is released in a bit (possibly November 12th) as it brings a whole bunch of performance improvements, new features, and bug fixes. I've found Edge to be incredibly good if a little rough around the edges. It's especially fast when you tinker with your hosts file. Have a good day.

Got this error for the first time today. Had the screen reversed on the dock while inking in one note. I started writing for maybe all of 10 seconds and it crashed. Nothing else open and I had just powered it on about 5 minutes before that. Everything is up to date. Didn't have time to screw around with it so I immediately pulled out my Note 10.1 and used that for an hour.

It's not just Edge that causes the BSOD, I've had it while viewing a video on Chrome too though it was frequent on Edge. After upgrading to 10586 the issue seems to be resolved.
