Update on my coworkers computer.

Our manger got involved.

It turned out the IT guy closed the ticket so that's why nothing was done all day.

So someone finally turned up to take his computer just as I was leaving for the day....

That IT guy needs a talking to.

Not only that but whoever messed with his computer needs retraining.

What waste of a few days.

That's probably cost the company and few thousand in lost time and expresses.

Nothing will happen of course.

I kinda figured the ticket got closed prematurely.

If they fire the IT guy, he can come and work in customer service at NYCHA. They close out maintenance tickets (apartment repairs) before you can completely open them, so he'd do just fine.

Went to a very frustrating meeting on a abandoned condominium project.
The reviving/rehab process is so pro-developer and for the appointed white knight it was unbelievable. From the buyers perspective, it stinks in terms of support from the local housing government. It stinks of dirty politics

I've been waiting for Android Central to do a updated review on the Sony Xperia 1. I just realized it hasn't been released yet for the US. I'm assuming this is the reason.

Yeah the Europe version is out (I have it). It's the same deal as the US with the headphones for unlocked phones. You can get it on contract with the carriers but I'm not seeing the headphones though.

It's easier to release phones in the EU as they carriers use the same systems unlike the US. So none of that proprietary nonsense and special phones for specific carriers. Of course if you get a carrier locked phone they have their own apps etc.

My contact has been extended another year. So that's good.

Means we can settle in a bit more. Probably going to get a second car now.

Yes our farm is still going ahead as that's the reason we're here. The more money the better.
